Skin Wall

An expansive and ambiguous surface of flexing human skin

A site-specific generative work created for The London Groups centenary exhibition at Pitzhanger Manor, the former country residence of art collector and architect John Soane.

The hand-painted Chinese-style wallpaper in the manor provided inspiration for us, encouraging musings on surface, ink, pattern and boundaries. The resulting work, Skin Wall, may be described as a living wallpaper.
